| Located along Waterloo Road in the Waterloo Recreation
Area
and in the award winning Chelsea School District, this 180 area lake has a
lot of shore line as part of the recreation area. On the north and east
sides are cottages and some year round residences overlooking a lake that
attracts swans, geese and many ducks. The large state owned and operated
campground to the south is open during the spring and summer month into
early fall. A large swimming area, playground and boat launch site makes
this a very attractive place to camp. Nearby there is also an equestrian
camping area. The many miles of trails surround Sugar Loaf Lake are great
for hiking and riding. Sugarloaf Lake is close to the quaint Waterloo
Market where locals and visitors find a fresh meat counter plus and their
fishing and hunting provisions.
